Provides strategic leadership, oversees the administration of the Local Football Association, and ensures that football is governed in accordance with the SAFA Statutes. 

Advises the Executive Committee on financial management, budgeting, procurement and the responsible use of the Association's resources. 

Oversees the planning, organisation and administration of Local FA competitions in accordance with SAFA rules and competition regulations. 

Promotes the technical development of football through coaching, player development, education and sports medical best practices. 

Oversees referee development, appointments, assessments and officiating standards to ensure the integrity of all competitions. 

Provides legal and constitutional guidance, advises on governance matters, and assists in resolving disputes in accordance with SAFA regulations. 

Oversees membership matters, including club affiliation, compliance with membership requirements and the administration of member relations. 

Promotes and coordinates football development in schools while strengthening pathways between school football and Local FA competitions.

Promotes, develops and oversees women's football programmes and competitions while increasing opportunities for female players, coaches, referees and administrators. 

Handles urgent matters requiring immediate decisions between meetings of the Local Executive Committee, with all decisions reported to and ratified by the Executive Committee at its next meeting.
